An active member of the community, Mark Burnes served on the Pismo Beach Planning Commission for 8 years, serving 2 terms as the Chairman and 3 terms as the Vice Chairman..

Mark is the 2018 President of the Pismo Coast Association of Realtors. Mark is also a long term member of the Professional Standards Committee who serve as triers of fact for ethical and fee complaints among the members of the Board of Realtors.

Mark was a founding member of the SLO County Real Estate Fraud Task Force.
